Wayne Decker owns and operates Decker Tractor Repair, a generations-old tractor repair shop serving the greater Eastern Iowa region from his Holy Cross, Iowa shop. Not only did Wayne follow in his father’s footsteps in the profession, but he also carried on his late father's compassion for small farmers, integrity, and honesty when conducting business.
Wayne met Dave Fangman over 20 years ago through their mutual involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. Dave is a computer and technology whizz by day. Still at home, his family refers to him as an “at-home engineer,” because of his repair skills, tactfulness, creativity, and ability to spin ideas and problem-solve on various platforms.
One crisp fall morning, Wayne asked Dave to tag along on a drive in Western Iowa to pick up a tractor and parts for a Decker Tractor Repair project. As they drove through the fields, they discussed the equipment that made the productivity of these fields possible. Dave thought it was peculiar to travel so far for parts. Wayne then explained the common scarcity of available products across the agriculture industry. Together they began brainstorming how to fill the voids through a business partnership.
Since the drive through the fields of Iowa, the brainstorming continued and in the winter of 2016, WDF Enterprises was founded. Through Wayne and Dave’s combined expertise and interests, their mission focused on improving OEM tractor fiberglass, plastic, metal, and electrical parts. They are constantly coming up with new ideas and seeking out new voids in the industry to fill. If you are seeking products WDF Enterprises does not currently offer, Wayne and Dave would be delighted to hear about your needs and brainstorm with you.
